ARARAT KIDS SUMMER CAMP TERMS & CONDITIONS 2024
REGISTRATION
To register your child for the Ararat Kids Summer Camp, you will need to complete an online registration. The registration is processed on an individual child basis. This means that for every child within a family who wants to attend the camp, you will need to complete a separate registration form. Forms are processed in the order they are received, along with the appropriate payment. Please ensure that all required fields are completed before submitting the form. Incomplete forms may cause a delay in the registration process.
All payments must be submitted through the online payment portal. Please note that weekly capacity is limited to 60 children, and once this limit is reached, applications will be closed, and a waitlist will be initiated for the respective week.
To secure your child's place in the camp, full payment for the week is required by the Friday noon of the previous week. If you fail to meet this deadline, a late fee of $30 will be applied (if space permits). Additionally, if registration occurs for the first time on Monday morning, a $30 late fee will be applied with no exceptions.
Please note that Homenetmen Glendale Ararat reserves the right to refuse service or entry to any child whose behavior may disrupt the curriculum of the Ararat Kids Summer Camp.
PRICES & DISCOUNTS
The camp fee is $400 per week if registered by June 6, 2024. After June 6, 2024, the camp fee will be $425 per week. There will be a $25 per week discount for students who attend all 6 weeks. The fee includes breakfast, lunch, and care from 8:00 am - 4:00 pm. There will be a discount per week for siblings attending at the same time.
HOURS OF OPERATION
Summer Camp program hours are 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The center is open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
DROP OFF AND PICK UP
Please drop off your child at the back entrance between 8:00 am and 9:00 am. We kindly request you to park your car and walk your child to the center. The same procedure will be followed for afternoon pickup.
You must sign your child in and out during drop-off and pickup. We request that you pick up your child between 3:00 pm and 4:00 pm. Both gyms are assigned for other Ararat activities starting at 3:30 pm.
If you are late for pick-up, your child will be waiting in the gated area at the back entrance. If you need to pick up your child at an earlier time, please coordinate with Melineh Ebrahimian, the camp director, at (818) 486-3115.
WHAT TO BRING
Each child must have a backpack with an afternoon snack, a water bottle, and an extra set of clothes. Ararat Kids Camp will provide all other necessary materials including crayons, hand sanitizer, booklets, arts and crafts materials, and more. You are welcome to send any additional items you feel necessary for your child.
LOST AND FOUND
Please make sure to label all your child’s belongings, including their water bottle, extra clothes, and any other items that are sent to camp in their backpack. Children will be responsible for their personal belongings. In case something gets lost, Ararat Kids Camp will have a lost and found area available for parents to look through. Anything left at the camp will be donated after the last week of the camp.
WHAT TO WEAR
Children should wear comfortable clothing, socks, and sports shoes that cover their toes. Please note sandals, crocs, or skirts are not allowed. We have lots of physical activities throughout the day and want to ensure that children are comfortable, safe, and able to participate in all the activities.
ABSENCES
All children must be registered for the full week to keep our group small and consistent. If your child is unable to attend a day of camp for any reason, please inform the camp director as soon as possible. Please note that there will be missed days cannot be made up and credits will not be given for any reason.
Refunds will only be given if your child is absent from camp due to a medical issue that requires a note from their physician. Each refund request will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. If approved, the refund request will be processed by our accounting office. Please note that a $50 processing fee per child will be deducted from the refund amount. Refunds will be made after the conclusion of camp.
ACCIDENTS
If a child gets injured while at Ararat and requires emergency medical attention, the staff will make every effort to get in touch with their parents, guardians, or emergency contacts. In case the medical treatment is not covered by the child's health or accident insurance, Ararat's accident insurance will provide coverage, up to the policy limits, for any injuries that the child sustains while at the camp.
IMPORTANT NOTES
Please note that no video games, phones, tablets, or electronic devices are allowed to be used between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. If any staff member notices a child using any electronic device during this time, it will be confiscated and returned to the parent at the time of pick up.
If you have any additional questions or concerns, please feel free to contact the camp director, Melineh Ebrahimian at (818) 486-3115 or send an email to: araratkidscamp@gmail.com.
