It is with great pleasure that we announce the addition of Alek Petrossian to the Athletic Office. Starting June 1, Alek will assume the duties of Basketball Director, overseeing all basketball-related matters in the chapter.
Alek brings a 30-year background in the sport, having competed at various levels since his early childhood. He is a USA Basketball gold licensed player development coach and has been a scout and member of the player development programs for Iran’s national teams. He is currently employed by the LA Athletic Club where he manages their basketball program; planning and implementing various training programs for adults and juniors and helping organize tournaments and leagues. As a trainer, he has worked with WNBA and NBA players, as well as various NCAA division I athletes.
Alek will no doubt be an important asset in the basketball division and we hope his experience and vision will help propel Ararat to the next level.
While he is to officially start his duties on June 1, you might run into him in the gyms and athletic office as he’s familiarizing himself with the center, do not hesitate to say hi.
