Cultural

CulturalIn its mission to teach our youth about our cultural heritage, the Homenetmen Glendale "Ararat" Chapter formed a Cultural Division. This Division focuses on introducing our younger members to the rich culture of the Armenian nation with such classes as dance, poetry, art, drama and choir.

Cultural Division's mission is to teach our cultural heritage to the youth and promote high quality cultural events and programs in the community.

CulturalOur goals are as follows:
  • Promote Armenian culture.
  • Provide the opportunity for youth to get introduced to different aspects of arts by providing high quality classes.
  • Promote artists.
  • To be established as one of the more important cultural centers in the community.
The Cultural Division is consisted of the following branches: Children's Dance Classes, Youth Dance Classes, Armenian Folk Dance Classes (Shourjbar), Art Classes (Drawing, Painting, Arts & Crafts) and Choir.
Armenian Folk Dance Classes
(Agest 18 and above)
Instructor Mrs. Angel Petrossian
The participants DO NOT need to be members
Each class is consistent of 8 sessions, Wednesdays from
7:30 pm - 9:30 pm, all are welcome
"Ararat" Chior
(Ages 16 and above)
Conductor Alenoush Yeghnazar
Choir meets for practice every Wednesday
from 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm
Art Classes
Instructor Talin Olmessekian
The participants must be members of the organization.
Classes are every Friday from 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Instructor Armeneh Havan
Classes are every Friday from 6:00 - 7:30 pm
