The youth soccer has continued to grow at a faster rate than other youth sports throughout the country. Fortunately, we have paid more attention to the sport of soccer in last few years which has caused soccer to become more popular in Homenetmen Glendale "Ararat" Chapter and the Armenian community. |
Purpose:
The purpose of this program is to promote the sport of soccer and provide an opportunity for young boys and girls of "Ararat" Chapter to learn, play, and enjoy the game. |
Goal:
We plan to bring different approaches to the soccer program in Homenetmen Glendale "Ararat" Chapter. This program will deliver the fundamentals of soccer to young males and females which ultimately leads to advanced skills in the future. |
Program:
This program will provide a positive environment with qualified coaches and facilities as well as equipment that will allow our program to continue to improve and grow. We will offer two types of activities: Soccer School and Soccer Club. |
1. Soccer School: Aimed at bringing soccer to kids ages 5-14 twice a week. The school will be open to all children - regardless of sex and/or ability. They will learn the skills and techniques of the game in a fun and friendly environment. |
2. Soccer Club:
(6-16 years old): Intended for male and female skilled players from 6-16 years old to participate in Homenetmen games and other tournaments. They will practice twice a week and will be required to pay additional fees to cover relevant expenses.
(16 and up): Male and female players 16 years old and up will be practicing twice a week and will have the opportunity to participate in Homenetmen games, World Pan Armenian games and other tournaments in Southern California. These players are required to pay additional fees or help the Soccer Federation in raising funds to cover additional expenses. Fund raising includes but not limited to indoor soccer tournaments, outdoor 6 on 6 soccer tournaments, finding sponsors, summer soccer camp, and Football Night Banquet.

Vision:
Through our soccer program, we intend to provide physical education to our youth and, hence, foster individual and collective excellence. Such education, catered to our youth by Homenetmen Glendale "Ararat" Chapter, inspires the young individuals with deep sense of honor and responsibility to country and community. Young individuals, with such noble values, have higher chances of achieving their personal objectives in life by taking part in their high school teams, earning college scholarships and beyond. |
