9th Annual Tennis Tournament Medal Ceremony

On Friday May 21,2010 more than 160 parents, players and dignitaries participated in the 9th annual tennis tournament medal ceremony at "Ararat" Center. Mr. George Chabjian, Director of Parks & Recreation and Lieutenant Todd Stokes from Police Dept. were representing City of Glendale and its Police Dept. This year, the theme was to address children's obesity & "Ararat's role in preventing it. 15 kids were presented with President's Challenge certificate with President Obama's signature. During the event, 52 medals & trophies were handed to the winners in each categoryand Mr.Hakop Kerimyan was awarded the Tournament MVP award. We are looking forward to next year's tournament when we will celebrate its 10th anniversary. Congratulations to the organizing committee and all the participants.
