Martial Arts

Ararat Logo

"Those who know themselves know the world"
"Those who can win themselves can win the whole army"

Martial ArtsPeople practice Martial Arts for various reasons including health, fitness, self-defense, self-cultivation (meditation), mental discipline and character development, and self-confidence.

The focus of "Ararat" Martial Art Program is to spread out the word, persuade, promote and involve children and young people in sport of Martial Arts, providing them with the opportunity to have discipline, commitment, health, fitness, personal and social development.

Our teaching differs greatly from what you see in other schools. Despite popular belief, for us, kicking & punching each other doesn't symbolize the martial arts dogma & a good warrior!. On the contrary it denotes anger, hate & disrespect. Although, our students learn how to defend themselves, they do not enjoy hurting each other.

Our program includes self-defense against real life attacks. We follow the Belt Ranking system set by International Taekwondo Federation.

Our goal is to make sure that all of our athletes have a positive and enjoyable introduction to Martial Arts and the opportunity to continue their interest through many years of practicing this wonderful sport. Our members learn that art of martial arts is dedication to the improvement of humanity, expansion of mind and spiritual cultivation.

We educate, train and cultivate good citizens by teaching them to get to know themselves. Our masters preach "Those who now themselves know the word" and "Those who can win themselves can win the whole army" (Instructor: Master Leova Mosinyan).
