The process of becoming a member of Homenetmen Glendale "Ararat" Chapter starts with submitting an application to our office (weekdays 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.). Once the application is approved, the new member is required to attend a 45 minute orientation session. The parents of minor applicants are also required to attend the orientation session. Upon attending the orientation session, the new member may participate in the activities.
Our year-round programs include scouting, basketball, volleyball, soccer, table tennis, Martial Arts, chess, gymnastics, Armenian folk dance, painting and Armenian studies.
The minimum age to become a member is 7, except for gymnastics and Armenian folk dance which is 6.
There is no waiting period for the above mentioned programs. Applicants can join their respective teams, troops or classes immediately.There is however a waiting period to enroll in our basketball program.
Each July, we organize a 10 week Summer Basketball Program for those on the basketball waiting list. After completion of this program, based on our capacity, some of the participants may be admitted to our basketball program.
