Born in Tehran, Iran, Alenoush has displayed musical talent at a very young age. She has participated in Iranian Music Conservatory as a piano major. In 1987 Miss Yeghnazar and her family migrate to United States of America where she furthers her musical education specializing in vocal performance.Alenoush has studied at the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston, MA, under direct care of Ms. D'ana Fortunato's and her conducting teachers T. Miyake and Tamara Brooks.
A full lyrical soprano, highly flexible throughout its range, Ms. Yeghnazar has brought her participation in professional choirs beginning at age fourteen.
Since 1987 she has been performing in Armenian, American, college, university and church choirs as a section leader and soprano soloist. Ms.Yeghnazar has performed leading roles in opera productions such as die Fleermaus by R. Strauss, Suor Angelica by G. Puccini, and Cosi fan tutti by W.A. Mozart, and Amahl and the Night Visitors by G.C. Menotti. Ms. Yeghnazar has also performed the music of ancient and modern Armenian composers including Narekatsi, Komitas, B. Kanachian, E. Mirzoyan, R. Grigorian, H. Berberian, E. Abrahamian, R. Melikian and others, as well as world renowned contemporary composers such as Britten, de Falla and Quilter. Often she has been chosen to perform the compositions of contemporary composers for the first time presentation or for their auditions Ms. Yeghnazar has been the soloist for the Holly Trinity Church in Boston an the Armenian Evangelical churches for several years. Ms. Yeghnazar has conducted the Sounik Children's Chorus since 1993 at Hamazgaeen Cultural Society in Glendale. With the same chorus she has been able to present the "Chari Verj" operetta in II acts and several other concerts. She has also served as conducting assistant at Lark Musical Society. Ms. Yeghnazar was invited to conduct the Chorus of Armenian Society of Los Angeles in 1998 until 2002. Along with her private voice and piano students, Ms. Yeghnazar currently has a studio at Lark Musical Society in Glendale and she is the director of the "Ararat" choir at Homenetmen Glendale Chapter.
Alenoush feels privileged for having the opportunity of performing with famous conductors such as Li Fen Chen, Astor Piazzolla, Gualtiero Negrini, Ohan Durian and finally Vatsche Barsoumian who has had a great impact on her singing, conducting and musical career for the past sixteen years. She has a BA and MA in vocal performance and minor in choral conducting from CSULA, where she has studied with Rene Aravena and Lisa Stidham's studio.
