From its inception in 1978, Homenetmen Glendale “Ararat” Chapter has continued the strong traditions established and pursued by the organization almost a century ago.
Once again, we proudly celebrated Homenetmen Glendale “Ararat” Chapter’s anniversary on October 21, 2006. For the past 3 decades, the organization has been a vital part of the Glendale community by providing Scouting. Athletic, Cultural, and Leadership activities, and has earned the trust and the respect of the community members for over 28 years. Our organization today has over 2400 members—Over 1600 athletes actively participating in various athletic activities and over 560 scouts, making us once again largest scouting troop in United States of America. As we celebrate our 28th birthday, it is imperative to acknowledge the devoted individuals responsible for turning the wheels. Homenetmen “Ararat” Chapter’s day-to-day activities are governed by volunteer coaches, parent leaders, and selflessly devoted individuals, and last hut not least, we humbly recognize our friends and sponsors.
Customarily, every year during our Chapter’s birthday celebration, we invite individuals to sponsor a candle lighting ceremony where each candle represents one year. We are proud to announce that this year instead of having 28 sponsors we had 42 candle sponsors. Without the generous support of our sponsors, it would be impossible for our organization to thrive and serve our community.
