On September 9, 2006, The Basketball Executive Committee held its annual coaches' appreciation night at Shiraz restaurant in Glendale.
It was a very fun night, were the coaches got to sit around, enjoy the "KEBAB" and brag about their accomplishments to their peers.
The best part of the night was to listen to what the players had to say about their coaches. Ms. Medik Baban had interviewed all the players, and had asked them what they thought of their coaches. There were lots of funny comments made by the players and it was apparent the great amount of respect, love and appreciation that the players had towards their coaches. It was really heartwarming for any coach to hear all the positive things their players had to say about them. "It helps us understand why we put in all the effort day in and day out" said one of the coaches.
"Basketball Executive Committee recognizes the hours these coaches spend training the kids. We look at the program with a critical eye but at the same time appreciate all their efforts. We also see technical and managerial improvements in our coaches" said BEC Chairman Mr. Henry Mardakhanian.
All the coaches received a jacket as a token of appreciation from the Basketball Executive Committee.
